Police conduct search op at Jammu Tawi railway station 8/11/2016 9:59:45 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 11: Police today conducted a search operation ahead of Independence Day at Jammu Tawi Railway Station here. "Though tight security is in place, search operation was today launched at the platforms by the teams of GRP and police in view of upcoming Independence Day," a police official here said. He said boggies, passenger coaches and goods trains were frisked by the teams besides the washing yards. "A thorough search was conducted by the men within and in the vicinity of the Railway Station," he added. An official said mock drill exercises will also be conducted ahead of mega celebrations. A letter threatening series of blasts in Jammu on I-Day was also received by a senior police officer and a national daily on Monday.
