| People stage protest against shortage of water | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 11: Rajouri Aug 11: The irate residents of. Ward no 5 near Pahari hostel Rajouri protested against the PHE department alleging that they are deliberately ignoring some selected people for providing them water and on the other hand some selected people are provided water supply regularly on the direction of officers who are busy to please some politicians and there agent's. Moreover some line men also charge money for extra supply ignoring common people which is clear cut violation of law. During protest, people of Pahari hostel alleged that some people were also given illegal connection from behind the ball point which is also causing shortage of drinking water in the ward near Pahari hostel .Shahnwaz and Mohd Tariq residents of ward no 5 urged PHE minister to transfer all local employees and depute non locals because local employees are working under the influence of some particular politicians and disrupting routine supply They demanded action against the concerned officials for not restoring water supply in the area despite repeated requests to the concerned officials. |
