Deputy Commissioner inspects air force mess road, seizes vehicle of scrap dealer 8/17/2016 9:56:56 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Aug 17: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Niraj Kumar today reviewed the progress on construction of air force mess road which is in dilapidated condition since past some time . Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana and district election officer Sapna Kotwal and Border road organization officers accompanied Deputy commissioner. The DC expressed concern over work delayed from long time and issued on spot direction to Border Road Organization to complete the work in time bound manner so that air force personnel and common men using the road should not suffer in future . Deputy commissioner inspected the work after complaints from local as the work on road was going on with snail pace. Deputy commissioner during his visit to the area also inspected several other developmental works going on . Meanwhile Deputy commissioner also seized the vehicle of scrap dealer who despite direction not to encroach and deface highway continued his business unabated showing unconcerned towards the direction of authorities . The scrap dealer was already booked under section 133 Cr.Pc but despite that he was creating nuisance in the area . Taking serious view of ongoing menace of encroachment in Udhampur city Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar launched massive anti-encroachment drive against the infringers in the city . Particular drive has been already initiated against those who have encroached upon Govt. land and footpath illegally in city. On the direction of DC who have constituted special team of 35 BRTF, local police and MCU led by CEO Santosh Kotwal complying the order partially demolished and removed dozens of temporary structure and kiosks raised illegally by people.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
