SMIPS celebrates Independence week | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 17: St. Mary's Infant Pre School (SMIPS) celebrated Independence week with patriotic fervour as the tiny tots along with the staff and management of school organised a mélange of patriotic activities throughout the week to rekindle students' love and passion for the motherland. A week-long extravaganza included a host of events through which students expressed adoration for country and its people. Dressed in tri-colours, tiny tots drew scenes spanning the different states across the length and breadth of the country that showcased a colourful spectacle of India's vision and added lustre to the festivities. Saluting the nation, students gave scintillating stage performances which included beautiful pieces of dance performances specially choreographed for the occasion and melodious songs sung by children in the praise of nation. The Independence week celebration culminated with unfurling of the tricolour flag by Rajesh Bakshi, Member, Cantonment Board, Jammu Cantt along with Anna Mary, Chairperson of the school and Sumitha Stevenson, Lecturer, Bahrain University College. Principal, Sheetal Anthony lauded the commendable performances of the students. |
