J&K Grameen Bank organizes awareness programme 8/17/2016 10:01:19 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Aug 17: J&K Grameen Bank under the Chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri's Social Security Schemes & SHG under NRLM at Hatli District Kathua. District Development Manager, Madan Lal, ( NABARD) who was the chief guest on the occasion, spoke at length about various bank schemes i.e., Pradhan Mantri's Social Security Schemes, Self Help Groups (SHG's), Joint Liability Groups (JLG's) and NRLM. He highlighted that joint liability groups and SHG under NRLM are an effective credit delivery methodology for banks to reach clients like small farmers, marginal farmers, tenant farmers and also micro entrepreneurs and therefore an important tool for poverty alleviation and social cohesion. He also distributed credit worth Rs. 41 Lakh to 21 beneficiaries in the shape of KCC, GCC & Housing Loan etc. Speaking on the occasion R.D. Sharma Area Manager Kathua & Samba, Grameen Bank urged the large gathering present in the camp to utilize the opportunity and avail benefits of newly launched schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana.
