Hindi Divas, Eid celebration at Pathways International School 9/14/2016 9:59:49 PM Early Times Report jammu, Sept 14: The Pathways International School campus, celebrated Eid and Hindi Divas. The Pre Primary section of the school celebrated Eid with full religious honor; the toddlers hugged each other and exchanged Eid greetings, special Eid sweets were also exchanged among students. On the other head the Primary section of the school celebrated Hindi Divas, were in Hindi Poem recitation competition was organized for the students of Class II-V .A special assembly was conducted by the teachers of the school to educate the students about the relevance of Hindi Divas and Eid. The school wore a festive look on the occasion were Eid greetings and Hindi Divas both were celebrated with great zeal. The program of Hindi Divas celebration was chaired by Dr. Divij Suri (Chairman, The Pathways International School), Kunal Anand (Principal) presided over the function. The school organized an interclass Hindi poem recitation competition for the students of class II-V. The participants presented their poem supported by beautiful props and won applaud from audience. The students presented such meaning and heart touching poems on national unity, girl child, Eid festival, nature etc. Dr. Divij suri (Chairman The Pathways International School) in his address said that though these days all schools stress on spoken English skills, but we should not forget the importance of our mother tongue Hindi, he cited examples where-in many English words have been taken from either Hindi or Sanskrit. He applauded the efforts of the students in presenting the program so well. Later in the function he distributed certificates among the winner of the competition. While addressing the students he said that one has to perfect a language once speaks, clear pronunciation and intonations add that extra flavor to your language. The event was organized by the CCE coordinator Komal Singh.
