CII members calls on Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 14: A delegation of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), State Council on Wednesday called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh and submitted the proposal draft for the startup scheme for Jammu and Kashmir. According to press release, the delegation led by Rahul Sahai, Vice Chairman of CII, J&K State Council and Ravnish Gulati, Rajesh Sharma, Jaspal Singh, Tapan Dubey, Mr Amit Sethi, Gourav Mahajan were also part of the delegation. "We are keen that Government of J&K announces a startup scheme for the youth of our state. They come up with brilliant business ideas and seek support from industry, academia and government to give their dreams a formidable and sustainable shape. Our youth deserves an ecosystem that boosts their innovative ideas" said Rahul Sahai, adding that CII proposed an incubation infrastructure for startups and would provide industry mentorship and funding resources to them. We can grow and nurture our future investors from our own state. We are happy that Deputy Chief Minister and Industry Minister have shown interest in this direction and assured us their support. We have requested to Deputy Chief Minister to form a core group for startups and build an infrastructure for incubation centre in IIT Jammu" Said Sahai. Dr Singh assured the CII members his personal keenness towards startups and promised them full support in this direction. CII also proposed forming a core team involving industrialists, academicians and government to work on building startup eco-system. Sahai, appreciated and congratulated Dr Nirmal Singh for assuring 24 x 7 electricity to all revenue feeders in Samba and requested the same arrangement to be made in other industrial areas too. He also thanked Dr Singh for reducing the electricity duty. |
