Reconstruction of Town Hall Poonch demanded 9/14/2016 11:20:38 PM Early Times Report Poonch, Sept 14: The town hall Poonch is situated in the heart of the city near District Court Poonch was damaged due to the earthquake in the year 2005. Some amount was sanctioned in the board meeting for the construction and repair work of town hall but till date it not completed due to the reason better known to state govt. The municipality office was not functioning in this town hall which was shifted to newly constructed hall at air Field ground Poonch. The wood of the town hall Poonch was also auctioned from which the department obtained lacs of rupees. The area of town hall Poonch is now meant only for parking of vehicles for the local resident. It is reported that the funds which was sanctioned for the construction and repair of town hall Poonch was not properly utilized due to which the town hall Poonch could not gain its original identity. This town hall was a historic monument which now turned in to public parking. The public at large of Poonch demand that this town hall Poonch should be constructed as early as possible so that this historic moment get its original shape and position.
