Jammu, Sept 25: The Jammu Kashmir Govt Pharmacists Association celebrated "World Pharmacist Day" under the presidentship of Jarnail Choudhary, Working President JKGPA, today. Dr. Baljit Pathania, Director Health Services, Jammu and Sushil Sudan General Secretary All India State Govt Pharmacist Association were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. During the seminar the Pharmacists were stressed to devote themselves for the betterment of suffering humanity and observe strict norms while dealing with the medicines. The theme of this year World Pharmacist Day was "Pharmacist caring for you". Dr. Baljit Pathania, Director Health Services Jammu in his address applauded the role of Pharmacists in Health sector. He also urged the Pharmacists to work with zeal for the welfare of society in general and sick and suffering people in particular.
Sushil Sudan, General Secretary while addressing the gathering congratulated the Pharmacists community across the nation and urged them to work with dignity and sincerity. He also assured them that their genuine demands will be got addressed from the concerned authorites.
The message of Union Health Minister was also read out wherein he has conveyed greeting and good wishes to the officers and staff of Pharmacy Council of India and millions of Pharmacists across the country. He has also wished for success of the "Pharmacist Day 2016". Those who spoke on the occasion included Kamaljeet Sawhney, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, R. P. Singh, Shafkat Hussian, Yougal Bakshi, Manjeet Singh, Surinder Choudhary, Pawan Kumar, Vishiv Bhandu, Kulmeet Singh, Mela Singh, Dalip Kumar, Vishal Patil, Surjit Kumar, Bhadur Singh, Dheeraj Sharma, Kuldeep Dabgotra, Mahesh Sharma and others. |
