BFDC organizes meet | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 25: Bahu Fort Development Committee today organized a meet of volunteers and officials from various departments like Health, JMC, Traffic Police, Jammu & Kashmir Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Archaeology & Museums Department etc at Mata Maha Kali Temple Bahu Fort Jammu. Kr. Rajeev Charak President BFDC delivered introductory speech. The meeting commenced with felicitation by presenting bouquets and on the occasion SDPO East IPS Chandan Kohli felicitated by Kr. Rajeev Charak, Health Officer Dr Anita Sargotra felicitated by Baldev Raj Nagotra, SHO Bagh-e-Bahu felicitaed by Raghav Mahajan General Secretary BFDC, DTI Traffic Narwal Prabhu Dayal & Medical Officer Dr. Anil felicitated by Ishant Mahajan & Hardesh Khokher Vice Presidents BFDC. Speaking on the occasion Kr. Rajeev Charak apprised the officials about the difficulties and appealed them to resolve them before commencement of Navratra festival. Charak while interacting with various officials from different departments requested Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and Health Officer to ensure health and sanitation services so that the yatris take blessings of Mata Maha Kali in a healthy environment around them. He also urges them to install adequate street lights so that pedestrians will not have to face any difficulty and also provide "safai karamcharis" to work during night so that in morning yatris will perform darshan dust free. Charak appealed traffic police to maintain obstacle free movement of vehicles so that in case of emergency of Fire or Medical there will be easy movement of fire brigade and ambulance. Kr. Rajeev Charak appealed PHE department to ensure adequate supply of water and also install water coolers or add more taps for drinking purpose. He also appeal PDD department to provide 24X7 Electricity. Medical Department was appealed to setup Government Medical outside instead of inside the Temple. SDPO East IPS Chandan kohli while speaking said that it is necessary to make trendsetter for the others. He also appealed devotees who want to set up Langer will use traditional tree leaves which are popularly known as "pattar" instead of plastic plates to avoid pollution and maintain cleanliness. Kohli said that this time the department has a plan to setup a control room at Mata Maha Kali Temple which shall comprise of representatives from all the departments so that if anyone face any kind of difficulty regarding any department he can approach at one place. |
