Without salary since appointment, teachers approach CM's grievance cell | | | Early Times Report
kathua, Sept 28: Patience of newly appointed teachers of district Kathua today burst out as no salary to new teachers have been released since appointment in Kathua. Paramjit Singh Pamma, Gen Secy PYC, J&K, listened to teachers' grievances through direct talks and social media and found that teachers were passing through mental frustration and it was hard for them to survive and reach duty in this high inflation rate. Singh informed that despite of having sufficient grants with CEO office's account section, clerks with ZEOs did not take initiative to withdraw the salaries. Singh said," Teachers spend huge amount everyday to reach in their concerned schools through buses and personal vehicles where there is no transport facility but how they perform their duty in days to come when ZEOs do not release their salaries." Singh pointed out the salaries of shifted posts whose position of salary is still uncertain. He appealed Education Minister Naeem Akhter, DSE Jammu and specially CEO Kathua to take the matter seriously and withdraw the salaries regularly. He again appealed to discard excuses frequently formulate by clerks with ZEOs offices and added that the day would come when teachers had no money for bus fare and fuel for vehicles to reach in deployed station. Singh said," How can a teacher teach efficiently when he is himself frustrated and uncertain about survival," and added that nobody should expect good academic result from teachers in this tough duration. Meanwhile, teachers warned to file compliant in CM's grievance cell if their 9 month pending salaries with DA installment are not released in next month. |
