New Delhi, Sept 28: In an effort to strengthen Army's capacity to face low intensity conflict, the Government today gave its go ahead to acquire Electronic Warfare Systems at the cost of Rs 330 crore. Defence Acquisition Council (DAC), the apex decision making body in the Defence Ministry met here this afternoon and cleared the proposals worth over Rs 1900 crore. The DAC gave its nod for the purchase of Anti-Tank Guided Munition (ATGM) for the training purposes, sources in the Ministry said after the meeting, which was chaired by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. |
