Can Congress Dare to take action against its leaders from Leh for demanding UT Status? | | | Early Times Report
kargil, Oct 6: Recently PDP has expelled Tashi Gyalso president of PDP Leh after he has signed the memorandum which was submitted to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh demanding Union Territory Status (UT) for Leh Ladakh. On other hand opposition National Conference has also issued show cause notice to its party president of Leh Unit. The parties have termed it as against the party principals and took serious action against these leaders. However, the Congress Leh president Tsering Smaphel and MLA's Nawang Rigzin Jora and Deldan Namgyal have also signed the memorandum in which they have also voiced for separation from current Jammu and Kashmir demanded the Union Territory Status for leh. Since then eyes on in Congress leadership and it has been asking by the people that can congress dare to take such steps against their own leaders from Leh following the Peoples' democratic party and National Conference or Congress has different political stand for Ladakh region . In Kargil also National Conference and Congress leaders from Zanaskar , Tsering Angdus (NC), Punchok Tashi (NC) and Skalzang Wangyal (Congress) have also demanded for union territory status but not action has been taken from the party side . |
