YSS organizes cricket tournament 10/6/2016 11:22:49 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 6: The Department of Youth Services and Sports commenced its inter District Division Level Super Seven Cricket tournament for u/19 boys and girls here at Sports Stadium Kathua today under the directions of Joint Director Madan Lal and supervision of DYSSO Kathua Sunil Kumar in which Super Seven players of each district are participating. A total of 65 boy players of 6 Districts of Jammu Division viz Kathua, Jammu, Udhampur, Reasi, Poonch, and Rajouri participated on inaugural day of tournament and the competitions for girls will be held from Friday. The opening match was played between Kathua and Rajouri in which Rajouri could not chase the target of 62 runs given by Kathua in prescribed 7 overs and declined at 59. Anuj of Kathua collected 15 scores in 11 deliveries. Thus Kathua won by 03 runs. In second match Jammu gave the target of 98 runs to Udhampur with the help of Sumit who collected 59 runs and in reply Udhampur declined just at 60 and Kathua and Jammu reached to Semifinals. In First Semifinal match, Kathua faced Poonch in which Poonch gave the Target of 52 runs in 7 overs while Kathua could manage only 49 runs and the hosting district fished out by Poonch. The second semifinal match was ongoing between Jammu and Reasi.
