Protest held against non completion of Kullian -Laswara road 10/6/2016 11:24:02 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 6: Sham Gorka Vice-President PTU and Working Committee Member JKNPP held a protest demonstration in front of DC office Jammu for the completion of Kullian -Laswara road left half way by the executing agency. He said that Kullian to Laswara road at R.S Pura which covers 15 villages and 9 Panchayats has been lying in a dilapidated condition for the last 20 years. This stretch of road connects R.S Pura to Bishnah but the vehicular traffic as well as general commuters are facing grave inconvenience while plying on the road. The length of the stretch is 10 km approx. out of which 4 km stretch has been blacktopped but the remaining 6 kms is still lying in a dilapidated condition. He said that stretch of the road is having pot holes of five to six meter diameter and has been posing life threat to the public at large. It requires black topping on 16 feet road and the sides of the road should be enforced with RBM. It is pertinent to mention that Panthers Party had lodged several massive protests outside the offices of SDM R.S Pura and Chief Engineer PWD Jammu respectively which were widely covered by the media. Following the response from the people of R.S Pura, Superintendent Engineer, PWD persistently assured to complete the work within stipulated time but nothing has been realized so far. Among others who participated in the protest demonstration included Sukhjinder Singh Ginny District Youth President, Som Dutt Choudhary, Jitender Verma, Sohan Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Kulbir Singh Chib, Jung Singh, Surinder Singh, Sansar Chand, Jagdish etc.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
