Kathua, Oct. 14: Blue eyed teachers hailing from Kathua district have been adjusted in their preferred places of posting while actual posts have been left as such.
A large number of schools in district Kathua have sufficient staff and additional teachers have been adjusted on the basis of superficial need based orders. Some schools have excess teaching faculty according to Teacher/Students ratio but there are large number of schools where 4-5 posts of Master Grades and teachers are lying vacant affecting teachingbadly.
The partiality and facilitation to influential teachers/masters reflects the level of corruption in Education department
Directorate School Education Jammu and Chief Education Officer Kathua made few transfers/modifications that would surprise anyone who come to know.
Few Lecturers in district Kathua have been adjusted in zero distance who never went out of station during their last three transfers and always succeed in modifying of transfer orders. One Lecturer from Kathua has been adjusted in Doda where another local person already had joined at zero distance when he reached there for Joining. Excess lecturers/Principals have been posted in DIETs who even frequently attend their offices whereas few posts of Lecturers, Principals and ZEOs lying vacant for months.
Few High schools In Marheen zone have 4-5 master grades posts vacant, DSE modified transfer orders of all female masters leaving 100 girl students without single female in teaching staff, complete faculty has been provided to few schools where enrollment falls till 5-6 students. GHSS ( Girls) Kathua has dozens of students in Dogri subject without any Lecturer in Dogri for years as another influential lecturer has been adjusted against Dogri post leaving students on God's lap.
The extent of modification has not been stopped here as GPS Tatwa Panchayat Bandar, government created new post but teacher has not joined and CEO Kathua adjusted him at government school Dola mata at zero distance of his residence leaving 60 students with a single teacher in the school, 2 teachers from High School Bandhar have been attached in another schools leaving 300 students with less faculty. A large number of teaching posts vacant in MS Kalanar as nobody joined there since 2007 leaving 110 students with insufficient faculty.
Hoshiyar Singh, a resident of Bani alleged on ZEO Bani to make illegal transfers without knowing the actual position of schools. He said ," People called on MLA Bani, SDM Bani, ZEO Bani but all gave deaf hearing to their grievance and nobody bother about sufferings of students."
Pertinent to Mention here that there are large number of Primary schools in Kathua, Barnoti, Marheen, Lakhanpur, Mahanpur, Basohli, Bani zones where students ratio is less than teachers and few Middle especially high schools are running with 3-4 teaching faculty members.
Education Minister makes tall claims for bringing renaissance of development in education sector but ground situation exposes his all claims. Students/parents appealed the minister to ask for number of students andteachers/masters/lecturers position from every schools of district Kathua that would expose the mal-functioning in education department. Parents demanded justice for their children and threatened to proceed the matter with Governor and Union HRD minister if their demand is ignored. |
