PoK intruder sent to judicial custody | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 14: An under trial resident from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir has been sent to district jail by a local court in Poonch district on Thursday. Alert Indian troops manning the Line of Control (LoC) in Soujian Sector in Poonch district on October 1 had apprehended the PoK resident while attempting to breach the fence after crossing LoC. The 41 Mohd Rashid Khan son of Mohd Ayub Khan resident of Tedaban in Haveli tehsil of Bagh district was later handed over to the Poonch police and had been booked in case FIR No. 92/2016 under 2/3 Egress & Internal Movement (control ) Ordinance (E&IMCO). Reliable sources said after detailed questioning and interrogation by the senior army officers and Military Intelligence personnel the Mohd Rashid was handed over to the Poonch police today. After legal formalities and medical check-up he was sent to Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) at Jammu for further investigation. Army has recovered Pak Currency notes worth Rs60 and an identity card issued by PoK government from the possession of the Mohd Rashid Khan. Reliable sources said that reportedly nothing adverse has been found against the PoK national and he is now is under trial in the local court. |
