Shutdown call in Kishtwar today | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar Oct 14: In response to the solidarity call given by the separatist leaders against alleged booking of several people on charges of sedition and to resent RSS march on the streets of Kishtwar and other areas of the state, Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar today announced a shutdown call asking the people to observe peaceful shutdown. As per the details available with "Early Times" Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo in its Friday sermon today asked all the Muslim bodies to observed complete shutdown tomorrow. He said that all the shops, business establishment, schools, educational institutions, public transport will follow the call. He said that there should be a civil curfew like situation in the town and its adjoining areas. He also showed his concern for not allowing Friday prayers in mosques of Kashmir valley and demanded to bring an end to such siege of mosques in valley where from more than 98 days, no Friday prayers were allowed by the government. |
