| JYF flays VC for disobeyed chancellor order | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 16: The Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) on Sunday flayed the University authorities for disobeyed the Jammu University Council, the top decision making body of the University headed by none other than the Chancellor and the Governor order for one person given one posts in the university administration. According to press release, addressing the press-conference here today, Deepak Kumar University President of JYF said that said that administrative machinery of JU was not working properly as per expectations of student and scholars, which is adversely affecting their studies.
President JYF said, "Scholars the varsity are facing hardships due to unavailability of teaching staff in some of the departments due to their superfluous engagement in other responsibilities. The example of violating the recent decision of University Council by the Vice Chancellor soon after its minutes were released, went ahead to crush the decision of University Council, Kumar said that one Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia who is Head of Remote Sensing Department has been given additional charge of Director Sports and Physical Education within couple of days thus infringing the decision of Council to discourage one man one position in the affairs of varsity. We appeal the Chancellor of University to take cognizance of it and initiate measures to streamline the functioning. |
