Teachers, students hire private buildings to resume class work | | | S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 16: With educational institutions in the valley closed for over three months now, the teachers and their students in a novel initiative have hired private buildings to resume their class room work. Vested interests behind the ongoing unrest have put careers of thousands of students at stake and have pushed them into anti national activities as instruments of achieving their nefarious agenda. In the bargain many and innocent lives have been lost. Sources said that, there are maximum government school teachers in Kashmir valley who have hired private buildings and rooms where from they are imparting education to the students so that their careers could be saved. A parent, Bashir Ahmad (name changed) said that, there are other ways of protests but it is ridiculous that the precious time of these students has been wasted by keeping them away from their schools. "Though government had tried to reopen the schools in Kashmir valley but failed to break the ice, while some parents have also kept their wards away from schools in view of the prevailing situation", he said. He said that the government has impressed upon all its employees to resume their work especially teachers to open the schools where ever possible or hire the private building so that students did not suffer. While as a group of parents said government teachers have hired private rooms in various parts of Kashmir valley to give free education to the students so that their career could be saved, but the security of both teachers and the students is of great concern. They said that, nobody wants to ruin the career of students especially educationists, scholars, and members of the civil society held series of meetings to chalk out the strategy for reopening of schools in Kashmir valley as this is season of examinations. Parents lamented that their students have to compete with the world so that they can secure their future . The need of the hour is to help them in getting education and not push them in the anti social and anti national activities. They said that, nobody wants to ruin the career of students especially educationists, scholars, and members of the civil societies held series of meetings to chalk out the strategy for reopening of schools in Kashmir valley as this the peak season of examinations. |
