Burglars having a free run, police clueless | | | Early Times Report
BHADERWAH, Oct 16: While there has been no let up in theft cases in Bhaderwah town, police are unable to either identify the accused or lay hands on them.Several thefts have taken place in the town for the past few days. In the latest incident, burglers broke into the house of one Mulk Raj, son of Mohan Lal of Zeen Bagh, in broad daylight today when the family members was out to attend a function and decamped with cash and valuable items. Mulk Raj said he was shocked to find that his house had been burgled in broad daylight. He had brought the matter to the notice of police. Yesterday, burglars barged into two shops of Abdul Kabir Malik by making a big hole in the wall and decamped with goods and other valuables worth thousands of rupees. The shops are situated near the fire services station on Bhaderwah campus road. Two days back, burglars struck at a shop at Udrana and stole valuables. The locals are up in arms against police for failing to crack the cases. In connection with one of the thefts, police had arrested a youth of Havelli Mohalla, but locals alleged that efforts were being made to save him. They have appealed the DIG of Ramban-Doda range and SSP, Doda, to personally look into the matter on priority. |
