NGO's team members visit in border areas | | | Early Times Report Sunderbani, Oct 16: Social workers of different non government organizations (NGOs and Sarpanchs visited in migrant camps and near line of control (LOC) villages in Meenka Mahadev, Kalal, Kalasra, Ambkhori, Dabbar-Khote, Nowshera, Nonial and other border areas and took stock the problems being faced by the border migrants. According to press release, the team of NGOs and Sarpanchs saw the problems of border areas people being faced they have to leave their home and hearth time and again due to border firing. "If the government provides them to plots, they can construct their shelters and at the time of disturbance at the border they will shift themselves there and live peacefully", said NGO member. They further said that the previous NC-Congress government had started the process of allotting five marlas plots to the border people and the present government has also promised to provide the land at safer zone but nothing has been done so far. They demanded that all those families who living on extreme border should be provided a five marlas plot to each family and some monetary help should also be provided so that they construct their shelter at safer places. |
