| Two intestate drug peddlers held with banned injections | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 25: In continuation with special drive against drugs menace under the operation 'Sanjeevani' launched by Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu to curb of drug abuse, Police today achieved a major success by recovering a large quantity of banned Injection with apprehension of two persons of inter-state gang involved in this evil trade.
"A Police Party of Bus Stand Police Station led by Inspector Abid Rafiqi SHO Bus Stand while conducting a checking of vehicles at B C Road apprehended two motorcycle borne youth along with approximately 915 banned Injections, police spokesperson said.
"Both the persons along with contraband were taken into custody. One arrested person belongs to the area of Jammu city other belongs to Delhi, police said, adding, " the identity of the accused have been withheld as the matter is under investigations and revelations may alert their other accomplices."
Meanwhile the police have registered a case under FIR No 55/2016 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Bus Stand Police and fFurther investigation is going on in this connection.
Police spokesperson said that whole operation was supervised by Vivek Shekhar, SDPO City North and Dr. Vinod Kumar SP City North Jammu. |
