Govt denies ration to migrants, salary to package employees | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 25: The State Government has deprived the Kashmiri migrants of ration for over last three months while the package and non package employees are without salary from the same period. The Government has been so rigid and hard towards these migrants that it failed to release their salary as yet thereby generating a lot of .resentment among Pandits. According to sources the migrant relief holders have been deprived of the ration for last three months due to which families are at the verge of starvation. The situation is grave that many families dependent on cash relief are facing many hardships, said Sunil Kumar a relief holder of Jagti. He said when entire country will be celebrating Diwali with much fanfare Kashmiri Pandits have no ration to cook meals. This has happened for the 27 years of turmoil under BJP rule that Pandits were even deprived of ration on the occasion of Diwali. Same is the case with package and non package employees who too have been denied salary for last three months as these employees are unable to join their duties in Valley due to prevailing situation there. Sources said even the women employees who are on maternity leave. This callous attitude of authorities shows that instead of solving the problems government was deliberately complicating the migrants issue, Vinod Tickoo another camp inmate of Jagti. |
