Baramulla, Oct 25: In a major blow to the separatist movement six Hurriyat activists of Baramulla were arrested by police in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir on Monday late evening. According to sources that, on specific information about the movement of hurriyat activists, police team Baramulla headed by senior rank official raided at various unidentified places in Bijbehara town of south Kashmir, where from they have arrested six activists of hurriyat conference.These activists were involved in the civil uprising in Baramulla district, adding that these activists were also involved in instigating the youth of old town Baramulla in stone pelting and other anti national activities, sources told Early Times. Sources said that, all the six activists if hurriyat and other miscreants of Baramulla district had added fuel in the ongoing unrest in Kashmir valley, they were using the small kids and other school going children in throwing stones on security forces. However a senior police official on anonymity condition said that, on Monday late evening six hurriyat activists of Baramulla town were arrested in Bijbehara town of Ananthnag in south Kashmir.From past couple of months, they were creating law and order problem in Baramulla town, after arresting these six top activists, it is a major success for police and other security agencies, the activists were identified as Bashir Ahmad Salahay, Bashir Ahmad Sofi, Abdul Khaliq Regoo, Abdul Rehman Tantray, Farooq Ahmad Salahay and Tanveer Ahmad Salahay of Baramulla town, the official informed. |
