J&K accession with India is a settled issue: PYC

Udhampur, Oct 27: On the auspicious occasion of Accession Day, a massive rally was taken out at Udhampur under the leadership of Sumit Magotra Ex DYC President & State Secy INTUC in which President of Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC), Pranav Shagotra was chief guest.
Raising patriotic slogans, the rally started from Dhar Road, and passed through Court road, Slathia chowk, Ramnagar chowk, Mukherjee Bazar, Main bazar and culminated at Gole Market where the rally turned into a gathering before which was addressed by Pranav Shagotra and Sumit Magotra after hoisting national flag.
Speaking on the occasion PYC president said that accession of J&K with India is final and there is no scope of any debate on this issue. He said that like other princely states, J&K is also integral part of India and those who are questioning the Accession are living in fool's paradise.
He exhorted the people to celebrate the Accession day with fervor, gaiety and enthusiasm just like Independence Day and Republic day.
He highlighted constitutional aspects of the accession and exhorted the youth to negate the misinformation campaign launched by the separatists, their sympathisers, soft- separatists and a handful of politicians.
He further emphasised that J&K was, is and will always remain an integral part of India.
Taking a dig at ruling BJP for its failure to celebrate Accession Day as official function, PYC president recalled for the last four decades BJP had been demanding state holiday on Accession Day but after attaining power, the party has forget this demand. He asked BJP leadership to fulfill its demand of declaring Accession Day as a gazetted holiday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sumit Magrota EX DYC President &State Secy INTUC said that it is duty of every citizen to celebrate Accession Day with fervour and patriotism.
He lambasted BJP leadership for indulge into deceitful tactics to hoodwink the people. He mentioned that when BJP was in opposition this party had made number of promises with people of Jammu but after getting power BJP has abandoned all nationalist issues.
Those who were present in the rally were Rajan Sharma Secy PYC,Chetan wanchoo spokesperson PYC, Shivam Sharma Dist President NSUI Udhampur, Jeevan Sanmotra, Mohit Sharma, Akhil Bandral, Balwant singh, Happy Singh, Sdr Ranveer singh, Vikas Khajura.
