JKSSB's fast track recruitment moves at snail's pace | 4 months on, Board fails to announce results | | Vinod Sharma Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 27: The so-called fast track recruitment of J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) is virtually moving at a snail's pace, as four months after interviews for various posts were held, the results are yet to be announced. A student of Jammu University, Zaffar Ahmed said that they have been waiting for the results for last many months, but there is no response from the Board authorities. "The State Government claims of recruitment done on fast track basis is actually a hoax," he said. The JKSSB had advertised various posts including supervisor in Social Welfare Department for which interviews were conducted many months ago. Also, Board had advertised several posts of Village Level Workers (VLWs), Gram Rozgar Sewak (GRS) and Multi Purpose Workers (MPW). But recruitment process for VLWs has been completed so far. "The rest of posts are yet to be filled as after conducting the interviews for the posts, the lists are yet to be published", many applicants rued. "A large number of students apply for the posts and in this way, the Board has been collecting huge money but the Board has failed to pace up the recruitment process", they said. Another candidate said there were many posts advertised by the department and the process of recruitment was hanging in balance for the posts of Work Inspectors. "The written test for the post was conducted in the month of November last year, while the interview was held in the first week of February this year. But selection list is yet to be published", he said, adding that only the candidates, who have taken the interviews and tests, were in a state of despair as they were reluctant to take admission for higher studies. Secretary of JKSSB was not available for comments. |
