BSF Jammu, Singh Club among win ties in Hockey | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 27: The BSF Jammu, Singh Club Bandhu Rakh and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Club won their respective matches to move into the next round of the 2nd Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Memorial Hockey Tournament, organised by Kashmir Singh Sangat, at K K Hakhu Stadium, here today. In the first match of the day, BSF Jammu beat Guru Nanak Nagar Club 2-1. Vicky Singh netted both the goals striking in the 28th and 45th minute of the match. From Guru Nanak Club, Amandeep Singh scored the only goal in the 30th minute. The second match of the day won by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Club beating Kashmir Sikh Sangat Club 4-2 via tie-breaker. Earlier, in the stipulated time the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Later, in tie-breaker, Maharaja Ranjeet Club proved to be better side. To advance into the next round, Singh Club Bandhu Rakh trounced Rathnu Chak Warriors 5-1. In today's matches, general secretary of GSPC Jammu, H S Raina, retired judge, Gurcharan Singh Mehta and Manager Sri Ram Finance were chief guests in today's matches while Harbans Singh, Manjeet Singh and Surjeet Singh were guests of honour. |
