| SVC lists hearing 'ReT appointment scam' on Nov 28 | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Oct 27: State Vigilance Commission (SVC) has listed the hearing for alleged Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) appointment scam surfaced in Doda on coming Nov 28.
"The State Vigilance Commission has listed the case ReT appointment Scam of Education Department Doda titled Firdoos Hussain v/s Yogeshwar Raj Thusoo Ex-Chief Education Officer Doda and others for hearing on Nov 28, at Jammu.
"The SVC has sought action taken report from Administrative Department School Education J&K. the Chief Education Officer Doda and personal Officer Directorate of School Education Jammu were directed by Commissioner Secretary School Education vide its No. EDU/COMP/15/2015 dated 13/10/2016 to attend Srinagar Office with all relevant record pertaining to the ReT Scam and officials involved, an official said.
It is alleged that some serving and retired officials of Education Department, Doda, were trying their best to shield the erring officers and the illegal appointees.
According to details that the amount of the fraud and forgery can be gauged from the fact that Sabiha Fatima of W- 5 of Doda Town was fraudulently appointed by Anaytullah Sheikh then ZEO Doda without vacancy and without advertisement of vacancy as additional ReT teacher in PS Bijarni on 09/02/2004 by falsely showing his residence in village Bijarni and in violation of Govt order No 1628 Edu of 2003 dtd 24/10/2003 which reads that candidates of Urban localities can be appointed at Ward Level only.
Ashiq Hussain and Ashfaq Ahmed of W-3 of Doda Town were illegally appointed ReT in PS Chetroo in village Bhagwah and village Kotal in Bijarni on 09/02/2004 and 03/12/2004 by falsely showing their residence in said villages to avoid application of Govt order No 1628 Edu of 2003. "Whereas in case of Ashiq Hussain vacancy was not advertised and interestingly Ashfaq Ahmed was also empanelled in W-13 School of Doda Town in February 2004 in his actual residence, official records said, adding, "whereas Rafiqa Banoo d/o Abdul Rehman Butt then ZEO Doda and Sumiah Kousar were illegally appointed as ReT in a illegally upgraded UPS Home Guard Lines Doda in 2009 on the basis of fake feasibility report by showing fake distance roll and feeding schools submitted by the concerned ZEO Abdul Rehman Butt in criminal connivance with then CEO Doda Ghulam Rasool Ganai."
These cases are only tip of iceberg as the petitioner has indicated many incidents of appointing of favourite candidates by some corrupt officials at the helms of affairs.
The complainant alleged that he was being threatened for pursuing the case of illegal appointments of ReT teachers and highlighting other malpractices in Education Department, Doda. |
