| PDD lineman dies after accidental fall from pole | | |

KISHTWAR, Oct 29: In a tragic incident, a Power Development Department (PDD) lineman today died due to accidental fall from an electric pole on Friday evening while he was working on restoration of the line in remote Dachhan area of Kishtwar District.
As per the details available with Early Times, as soon as the incident took place, the people immediately rushed to the spot and shifted injured to nearby health center, where he was declared as brought dead. "The deceased was identified as Ghulam Nabi a resident of Sounder Dachhan, police sources said, adding, "a case stands registered in this regard and further investigations are on."
Meanwhile a condolence meeting was today held in the office complex of Executive Engineer (Electric) Division Kishtwar under the banner of Electric Department Lineman and Workers union Kishtwar to condole the tragic death of Gulam Nabi.
All the officers and officials including the field staff of electric division Kishtwar attended the condolence meeting and prayed for the peace of the departed soul and strength to bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Gathering also observed a two minute silence in memory of the departed soul. |
