| Two narcotics peddlers held with 60gms of Brown sugar | | |

Rajouri, Nov 16: Police under its drive against the drug peddlers and other social evils apprehended two narcotics peddler alongwith 60 grams of Brown Sugar during naka checking in Rajouri town under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rajouri. The accused have been identified as Tauseef Ahmed Shah s/o Shabir Shah and Murtazza Hussain @ Sanam Shah s/o Nasir Hussain both resident of Danidhar (Rajouri town). One among them claimed to a Youth Congress leader but State Youth Congress leaders have categorically denied any association with him.
According to Atul Sharma, SSP(Officiating) Rajouri, on specific inputs police team led by Chaman Gorkha, SHO laid a special Naka near Danidhar locality in the late evening hours on Tuesday and apprehended the accused
SSP Rajouri added on noticing police the accused tried to escape but were apprehended by the policemen. "During frisking police recovered 40 grams brown sugar from the possession of Murtaza Hussain and 20 grams from Tauseef Shah."
"Accordingly duo has been booked in case FIR No721/16 under sections 8/20-21-22 NDPS Act and further investigation in this regard is in progress, said SSP. |
