BJP MLC knocks at Governor's door | Blames party minister for mess at GMCH Jammu | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 16: The inefficient coalition partner BJP in Jammu and Kashmir does not require opposition parties to highlight its failures as a few party leaders and legislators of the saffron party are playing the role of opposition party by exposing the misdeeds of their own ministers. Latest in this regard is the complaint of MLC Ramesh Arora to Governor N N Vohra against the alleged malfunctioning of Health and Medical Education Department in Jammu and Kashmir, being headed by a BJP minister in the coalition government. Arora, during his meeting with the Governor, referred to lack of facilities in the Government Medical College Hospital Jammu, sources said. They said he blamed his own Government and the minister for the mess in the hospital. Pertinently, younger son of MLC Ramesh Arora passed away recently due to Dengue fever. He was admitted at GMC Jammu and it's believed that deceased didn't get the adequate treatment nor did medicos refer him to some outside state hospital on time. However, this is not the first time that any BJP leader has lodged a complaint against his own party minister, former Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Choudhary Sukhnandan was shown door from the council of ministry as some BJP legislators, including the State president and MLA Jammu West had demanded his ouster for non-cooperation, sources said. Similarly, complaints were also lodged against incumbent Forest Minister Choudhary Lal Singh and MoS Transport (Independent Charge) A G Kohli following which their portfolios were changed. Not only general public but even BJP leaders have started realizing that saffron party can't run a Government smoothly. |
