82 kgs of poppy straw 'bhukki' seized, two held 11/16/2016 11:11:07 PM Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Nov 16: Continuing its drive against drug and narcotics peddlers/smugglers, Kud police today apprehended two persons alongwith 82 Kgs of Poppy Straw 'Bhukki' during a naka checking at Kud Jammu Kashmir National Highway. According to the police report, Police team from Kud during naka checking a surprise naka on National Highway intercepted one Truck bearing registration no.PB08R-9348. "During the through search of the said Truck, 82 kgs of Poppy Straw was recovered, police sources said, adding, "The consignment of contraband and vehicle were seized." The accused have been identified namely as truck driver Manjeet Singh son of Darshan Singh and his accomplice Sukhjeet Singh son of Dilbagh Singh both residents of Chandoli-Garh Shanker district Hoshiarpur Punjab who were arrested on the spot.
