Jammu, Nov 16: Farmers from the state and outside the state have shown keen interest and visited the Departmental stall displayed by Department of agriculture Jammu at Jhiri mela. The farmers in large number visited various stalls displayed by the department on the subjects like soil testing, seeds, mushroom, floriculture, vermi composting, tools and implements, various private companies have also displayed their stalls like, pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, irrigation tools and implements, tractors, spray pumps etc. The farmers visiting the stalls were also made aware through various lectures on cultivation of crops right from the times of sowing to its harvesting and also enlightened them about the latest techniques and centrally sponsored schemes. The officers present on this ocassion included Ashok Kumar Malhotra, Director Agriculture, RL Bhagat CAO, Jammu, Matinder Singh, ADAO(Veg), Amrik singh, Nirmal prakash, Arun Jaral, JAEO's Jaswinder singh, Anil Gupta, Paramjit Singh Chahal. |
