Statement of Congress leaders condemned

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 16: Statement given by Congress leaders in a programme at Jammu which appeared in many daily papers is a treacherous move against the state OBCs. Congress ruled the country for a maximum stint and never did justice with OBCs in the country till 1992 when former prime minister late V.P. Singh implemented the Mandal report in the country.
Congress also ruled the state sometimes independently and sometimes as coalition partner with NC but never raised the issue of due share of 27%. It even failed to resolve the minor issues of creamy layer, one OBC certificate together with the renewal of OBC certificate on the basis of income. The latest regime of Congress NC had OBC advisory and Development Board for five years but its Vice Chairman could not understand the problems of the state OBCs and only worked under the directions of the leaders and did nothing for the state OBCs except the two meaningless meetings in five years. Congress and NC are the tested political parties in the state and State OBCs shall never have any faith in them in future too.
Congress is trying to over shadow its past wrongs and is raising non-issues. After the suicidal death of Ex-Servicemen Ram Krishan Grewal at Delhi, Congress in the state has started candle march on OROP. This issue was raised by the former Prime Minister V.P. Singh about 27 years back before which afterward became the agenda of Congress but congress never fulfilled the demand of OROP.
Congress party is already divided into two groups, one with G.N. Azad and the other with G.A. Mir with leaders of different ideologies belonging to Jammu Division as well as Kashmir Division and is only beating about the bushes out of frustration like a fish out of water being powerless.
Executive members appealed the State OBCs to remain vigilant from the tested treacherous political parties which have ruined the state OBCs since 1992 and appealed the State Government to solve all the OBCs issues regarding reservation. Besides other All Executive Members M.R. Bangotra (Rtd. CEO ) and Prof. Kali Dass also shared their views.
