'HC not in process of giving benefit of reservation in promotion of judges' 11/17/2016 12:41:18 AM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 16: A high court division bench of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today said the Registrar General had stated that the high court was not in the process of giving any benefit of reservation to any of the judges at this juncture. So the contention of petitioners as raised in the application wass devoid of merit, the bench observed. The court directive came in a petition, seeking direction to respondents to stay promotions to the posts of district and sessions judges on the basis of reservation till the final out come of the petition. The petitioners' counsel submitted that on the basis of the statement made by the Registrar General, no order was required to be made in this application.
