Jammu, Nov 16: Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Sanjeev Gupta has ordered Deputy Commissioner, Samba, to cooperate fully with the State Vigilance Organization and furnish the relevant revenue record required for investigation.
The judge viewed the DC's non-cooperation very seriously and observed that the SVO status report had revealed that investigation was moving at snail's pace due to non-cooperation of revenue officials, particularly the DC. Keeping in view the magnitude of the scam which was self explanatory from the status report, it was hoped that the DC would cooperate fully with the S O of the case.
The SVO submitted that during the course of investigation, so many letters had been written to the DC, Samba, regarding providing of name of Approval Committee under Roshni Scheme and to fix the liabilities of delinquent officers but the reply was still awaited.
It submitted that investigation of the case was pending due to the non-cooperation of DC. (JNF) |
