| GDC Kishtwar facilitates Prof Z A Hashmi | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Nov 30: Government Degree College, Kishtwar today organized a function in which Prof Z A Hashmi was honored with a memento and a medal for his life time achievement.
According to press release, the function was organized to discuss the scenario and challenges faced by higher education in the region which was attended by the principals of all colleges of twin districts Kishtwar and Doda.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Z A Hashmi, Principal Govt. Degree College Bhaderwah added that Chenab valley has travelled a long way to lead the field of higher education in the state. He added that today all high school students starts thinking of carried option but the question is, whether our colleges has sufficient facilities to help our dreams soar in the sky or whether we have to go outside to make our dreams come true.
Later Dr R K Raina Principal, of Govt. Degree College Doda in his address said that today world has fast shrunk to a common platform of education and learning and thus it is the need of the hour to think for a common platform in Chenab region also for flourish the higher education system in the region.
In the precedential address, Principal GDC Kishtwar Prof. (Dr.) Shafqat Hussain Rafique said that during the past few years colleges have mushroomed the region, however whether just the availability of institutions means do we have robust higher education system.
Later on he lauded the efforts and achievements of Prof. Z A Hashmi towards the higher education, particularly his contribution to uplift the higher education in Chenab region. He termed him a man of vision and mission regarding the higher education in Chenab. |
