Pak violates ceasefire at LoC in Uri sector in north Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 30: Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla late last night. Official sources said here this morning that Pakistani Rangers resorted to heavy shelling targeting Border Security Force (BSF) posts along the LoC in Uri sector late last night. Indian troops also retaliated and the exchange of fire between India and Pakistan continued for some time. However, they said no one was injured from this side of the LoC in the ceasefire fire violation by Pakistan. The ceasefire violation by Pakistan comes just hours after militants attacked an Army camp in Nagrota in which seven personnel, including two officers were killed. All the three militants were also gunned down. Meanwhile, BSF foiled an infiltration bid from across the International Border (IB) in Samba sector in Jammu region by killing three militants yesterday. A BSF DIG and four other security personnel were injured in a blast while carrying out mopping-up operations at the encounter site. |
