Police nabs notorious bike lifter, recovers five stolen bikes | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Nov 30: In a major achievement, Rajouri police have arrested a notorious bike lifter and kingpin of bike lifters after hectic efforts alongwith five stolen bikes. The accused has been identified as Mohd Imran son of Mohd Rashid resident of village Challas under the jurisdiction of Rajouri police station and was active in Rajouri and Jammu districts. "The kingpin of bike lifters Mohd Imran was identified by the police after his two associates were arrested by the Dharamshal police in the first week of November and all the three were booked in case FIR No.91/2016 under section 379 RPC, police said . Drive against the vehicle lifters was launched by the Rajouri police under the supervision of Mohd Suleman Choudhry,SSP. "On the directions from Atul Sharma ,ASP, Nowshera a police team from Dharamshal police station led by inspector Darshan Singh, SHO laid a naka and intercepted Mohd Imran who was evading arrest for the last one month, police said. "On the disclosures of the accused, the police have also recovered five motor cycles from various areas which were stolen from different parts of the Jammu city by the gang members and Mohd Imran" said a senior police officer. He added that more recoveries of the stolen motorcycle can't be denied after further interrogation of the gang leader and other arrested members of the gang. |
