| YNC alleges harassment of Rehari vendors | | |

Samba, Dec 8: Alleging harassment to Rehari-Pehri vendors by the administration and Municipal Committee authorities, the activists of Youth National Conference (YNC) Samba today said that authorities at helms of affairs are harassing poor vendors while appeasing the influential traders.
Addressing the gathering, Provincial Vice-President YNC, Anil Singh Kaka said authorities are deliberately harassing poor Rehari-Pehri vendors in the name of anti-encroachment drives while many affluent traders had encroached roads, but no action has taken against them.
He said that they had held talks with the authorities to address their problems, but the administration did not pay any heed to their demands. He warned if the Rehari-Pehri vendors would continue to face harassment at the hands of concerned authorities, vendors will be forced to adopt agitational path.
Rehari-Pehri Association president Kulbir Singh, Lovely Singh, Udayveer Singh, Sandeep Sharma and others also addressed the gathering. |
