Petitioners can't seek fresh exam of 2014 KAS Mains: HC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 8: High court judge Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar today vacated the stay on 2014 KAS Mains Exam while dismissing the petition with the observation that because of change of key answers, petitioners have no right in law to seek such relief from the court. Dismissing a bunch of petitions, he observed that petitioners had prayed for issuance of Writ of Certiorari, quashing the October 5, 2015 result notification bearing No PSC/EX-15/47 issued by respondent No 1. It was also prayed that respondents be directed to conduct the combined competitive preliminary examination 2014 afresh. On pages 3 to 8 of the petition, they have pleaded that key answers in respect of certain questions in different series have been changed when the earlier keys were correct answers and revised keys are not the correct answers. The court observed that since they had attempted and answered questions, they, in law, could not be said to be aggrieved persons and Writ of Certiorari could not be issued in their favour. "What appears from the petition is that because of change of key answers, petitioners have taken a chance to get fresh examination conducted when in view of the aforementioned facts, they have no right in law to seek such relief from the court," the court said.
