Jammu, Dec 8: To provide exposure to the students of Business Administration from Dogra Degree College in the Industrial Working, a visit was organized to A M Industries, a unit of JBASCO group, Bari Brahmana.
It was organized for BBA Vth sem students of Dogra Degree College. The unit deals in premixes of Tea, Coffee, & Soups, a leading concern in North India. It was a group of twenty students scouted by three faculty members Aafia Zaman, Radhu Gupta & Nadeem Arif. They went through one hour interaction session with the Vice President, M.C Mehta, of "Café n tea" on their beverage manufacturing process, marketing strategies, and their competitive advantage over their competitors.
The students were scouted to the different processing unit by the Vice President himself. This visit not only helped the students to understand the concept of the manufacturing process, but further question answer session opened windows to some management concepts, also.
The strategies of marketing, H R and competition related issues in a market related environment, crucial to the success of the venture were deliberated upon.
It was a collective effort by the industry and Dogra College of Education to facilitate and concretise the theoretical knowledge of the students with practicals. |
