VRS Union demands pay commission benefits

Jammu, Dec 8: Dev Raj Bali President VRS Union today conducted a demonstration in which it was strongly criticized the attitude of the J&K State Govt. as they have played a foul game with VRS/GHS employees as they have not released the 6th Pay Commission benefit and arrears w.e.f. 1.1.2006 while people are struggling for their legitimate dues for the last 6 years whereas the Central Govt. has implemented 7th Pay Commission and during this long struggle 16 VRS/GHS employees have expired as they could not afford good treatment for want of funds. He appealed to Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister J&K State to put their case in the ensuing budget session so that they may be able to get their dues. Their demands include 6th pay commission arrears w.e.f. lst Jan.2006, Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) arrears since 1999 and Pension benefits. In the said meeting among others there were Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh, B.B.Sharma, Kulbir Singh, Dwarka Nath, Gulshan Singh, J.D.Singh, Prem Nath present.
