| Militants hurl grenade on PDP legislator's house in Kulgam Saahil Suhail | | | Early Times Report
Kulgam, Mar 11: Suspected militants on Sunday evening hurled a grenade on the residential house of Peoples Democratic Party Legislator in South Kashmir's Kulgam district.
The grenade was hurled at MLA Abdul Majeed Paddar's house in Noorabad area. Paddar, a former Minister, is representing Noorabad constituency in Jammu and Kashmir assembly
The grenade exploded outside the residence of PDP legislator and there were no reports of any injury or causality.
Police said that militants attacked and hurled a grenade on the guard post of 18 Battalion CRPF in Kulgam. "Police party has reached at spot. No loss of life or property reported," Kashmir police tweeted.
Reports said that legislator wasn't present at home when the militants hurled grenade on his residential house which is guarded by CRPF troops.
After the attack, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched man-hunt to nab the attackers. Post Hizb Commander Burhan Wani's killing in 2016; militants continue to target legislators, political leaders, workers and activists who have affiliation with mainstream political parties in Kashmir valley. Militants have so far killed hundreds of Kashmiris, who defied threats to upheld Indian democracy in the Kashmir. |
