Amrit Charitable Trust organizes langar at SMGS Hospital | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 11: Amrit Charitable Trust (ACT) today served meals to the attendants at SMGS Hospital by organizing a community langar in the premises of the health institution. On this occasion, the volunteers of the ACT personally served food to the visitors and attendants of the patients, even the doctors and other paramedic staffers of the hospitals also contributed their effort in organizing this community langar. Informing about the motive of this langar in the hospital, Dr Harbaksh Singh, the patron and president of the ACT said that every day thousands of visitors come to this hospital from all parts of Jammu region and all cannot afford meals in the hotels or shops thus it is the collective responsibility of the society to share this responsibility and do whatever little possible to serve the poor people. He said everyone cannot organize lunch, dinner or breakfast but even if one can serve a cup of tea or milk that would be sufficient and shall promote bonhomie and humanity. He also thanked the hospital administration for their gesture and support. Others who were present on the occasion include Rashmi Sharma, Harasis Singh Kranti, Rajiv and Amandeep Singh. |
