| Samaj Seva Society lambasts PWD | | |  Early Times Report
Poonch, Mar 11: Samaj Seva Society today protested against the PWD department and J&K government on the Betar Nallah Bridge for the poor condition of the bridge.
President Jugal Kishor said that this bridge is of utmost importance as this bridge strengthens the defence system and also connects people of many villages to the city.
He said that the condition of the bridge is becoming worse and no attention is given towards this by the PWD dept as well as by the state govt. and the bridge should be converted into a two way bridge.Jugal Kishor said that IG Basant Rath should visit the Poonch distt. as soon as possible to improve the traffic conditions in Poonch as he had done in Jammu.
Gen. Sec. Koshal sharna said that the condition of bridge is violated most by the tractors.
He said that the tractors are only for agricultural usage and they should not be made to run on the roads. He said that the govt. should pay attention towards this and should take measures to improve the condition of this bridge. |
