Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 11: National Secular Forum (NSF) has vowed to continue its fight against the discrimination being meted out to Jammuities at the hands of Kashmiri rulers. Resolution in this regard was passed by the members in a one-day District convention held today at Samba here.
The convention was held under the chairmanship of State President Dr Vikas Sharma.
Addressing the convention here today, Dr Vikas Sharma flayed the PDP-BJP coalition government for meting step-motherly treatment to the people of Jammu. He particularly took to the task BJP MLAs for maintaining stoic silence on the issue and reiterated demand for statehood to Jammu.
He alleged that people of Jammu were facing worst kind of discrimination at the hands of Kashmiri rulers and asked them to get united to launch a comprehensible struggle to get rid of all the ills. Dr Vikas Sharma lashed out at the intellectual outlook of BJP leaders, who, till yesterday clamoured loudly for discrimination with people of Jammu, have joined hands with their colleagues of Kashmir to openly support and promote the policy of age old discrimination with Jammu and crush the hopes and aspirations of well educated youth belonging to Jammu division.
Dr Vikas Sharma alleged that blue eyed candidates were being recruited by the PSC at the instance of state govt causing resentment among the unemployment youth.
He urged the youth to stood up and ask for their right which was being denied to them by the successive state governments. "People voted BJP to power with a hope to get equal share in development but the situation turned more worst as BJP MLAs were too playing second fiddle to Kashmiri leadership and compromising with the interest of Jammu people.
