| Police detains notorious criminal under PSA | | |

Rajouri, Mar 20: Rajouri police here has detained a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) for his repeated involvement in different offenses, especially thefts.
Accused has been identified as Sunny Sharma of Ward No.5, Jawahar Nagar Rajouri, Tehsil & District Rajouri.
He has been booked under Public Safety Act and lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu after the orders of detention was issued by District Magistrate Rajouri.
Sub Inspector, Ajaz Mirza from Rajouri police station executed the order. The said individual is involved in seven criminal cases registered at Police Station, Rajouri.
He was repeatedly found involved in anti-social activities including theft and burglary which is prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and posed a serious threat to safety and security of lives and property of citizens particularly in Rajouri town.
SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas said that Rajouri Police is commited to serve the general public upto their desired satisfaction to ensure sense of security among them and to maintain peace in the District. |
