| Influential businessman sells 'fake affidavits' in Sunderbani, admin silent | | | AB Sharma

Rajouri, Mar 20: An "influential" businessman running a shop near the Tehsil Office Sunderbani here has been allegedly selling fake affidavits while the government is silent over the issue. The locals said "The businessman has made some fake stamps in the names of advocates and misuses them to attest the affidavits though he is himself not a legal authority to do so." "What will be the authenticity of such affidavits, which he issues," the complainants asked adding they were getting duped. "What if tomorrow such affidavits are found fake?"
Official sources said the complaint had earlier also come to the notice of the concerned but that no action was taken. "Basically this businessman is influential and so action against him was avoided that time," said a source in the district administration. Meanwhile the locals have appealed the District Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid Chowdhary to look into the matter. |
